‘Star quality’ to benefit Age Concern Isle of Man

Age Concern Isle of Man is to benefit from the Isle of Man’s homage to the X Factor – Search for Star. Offering a guaranteed prize fund of £1000 Search for a Star 2010, the principal sponsor of which is Bradford and Bingley International, starts on March 4, and runs every Thursday in March from 7.30pm in G&D’s nightclub, Peveril Buildings, Douglas. The judging panel of Bradford and Bingley’s George Campbell, Carole Male, councillor Carol Malarkey and DJ Stuart Hampson will decide who goes forward to the next heat. The finals will take place on April 1 when it will be the audience deciding the winner. George Campbell, community affairs manager at Bradford and Bingley International said: ‘We’re delighted once again to be able to support the Search for a Star event in 2010 and with the organisers’ choice of Age Concern Isle of Man to benefit from the proceeds.
